FOT DUAL PURPOSE treatment disperses sludge, separates water and improves atomization and combustion.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ADVANTAGES\"><\/span>ADVANTAGES<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&#8211; Prevents formation of sludge in tanks, filters, preheaters etc.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Disperses existing sludge<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Separates emulsified water and helps water separation at the separator<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Improves atomization and combustion<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Allows reduction of excess air<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Reduces unburned particles and soot emissions<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Limits fouling of combustion chambers, superheaters, exhaust valves, scavenge ports and turbochargers<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Prevents high- and low temperature corrosion by raising the melting point of the vanadium compound<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"DIRECTIONS_FOR_USE\"><\/span>DIRECTIONS FOR USE<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>FOT DUAL PURPOSE is introduced as follows:<\/p>\n<p>-Manually into bunker tank prior to or during filling. The fuel movement on entering the tank blends the product completely.<\/p>\n<p>-Automatically, by means of a metering pump, into the fuel system. The UNI MARINE METERING PUMP is recommended for this use.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"PRODUCT_DOSAGE\"><\/span>PRODUCT DOSAGE<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&#8211; Dosage requirements depend on the quality of the fuel oil to be treated<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Fuels with high sulfur and vanadium levels and \/ or high viscosity and solid particles: 1 to 2 liter for every 2000 It. of fuel oil may be necessary.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; As a general guideline, initial dosage recommendation is 1 It. of FOT DUAL PURPOSE for 4000 It. of heavy fuel oil.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Further dosage down to 1 : 4000 &#8211; 8000 may be adequate based on operating experience and results.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FOT DUAL PURPOSE is used in both steam and motor vessels burning heavy fuel oils.
