TANK CLEANING CHEMICAL – MARISOL

1. Applications

• Cleaning and disinfection of refrigerated compartments (reefer holds)

• Removal of light, non-oxidized animal and vegetable oil residues from tank surfaces

• Suitable for use on most tank coatings, including aluminum, zinc alloys, and other light metal alloys

• Cleaning of condenser vapor sides

• Removal of grease and oil deposits in heat exchangers, heaters, etc.

2. Directions for Use

2.1 High-Pressure Cleaning

Allow MARISOL to act for 3–5 minutes before rinsing. Avoid letting the product dry on the surface; keep surfaces moist during application.

• Dilution: 1 liter MARISOL to 5 liters water

• Use of warm water will enhance cleaning efficiency

2.2 Tank Cleaning

Tank cleaning should be carried out as soon as possible after cargo discharge.

• Prepare a 2%–5% solution with fresh water

• Best results achieved at temperatures above 60°C

• Typical consumption: ~0.5 liter/m² for deposits of approx. 1 mm thickness

• For saltwater-based solutions, increase dosage by at least 1.5 times

Application methods:

• Recirculation

• Spraying

• Soaking

After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with fresh water.

2.3 Condenser / Heat Exchanger Cleaning

• Prepare a 5% MARISOL solution with fresh water

• Apply by recirculation for up to 24 hours, or by filling and soaking with agitation

• Maintain temperature between 60°C and 90°C during cleaning

• Drain and rinse thoroughly with fresh water
