Class A/CAFS Firefighting Foam Concentrate – AQUA 5 Vina Foam

AQUA 05 is a fluorine-free, low-viscosity firefighting foam concentrate, designed for extinguishing Class B fires (hydrocarbon fuels) and Class A fires.

AQUA 05 is formulated from organic solvents, hydrocarbon-based surfactants, and other performance-enhancing additives. It does not contain any halogenated organic compounds. Both the foam concentrate and its solution are readily biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

AQUA 05 forms a foam blanket that separates oxygen from the fuel or fire surface, thereby effectively extinguishing fires. Its fire suppression performance is comparable to fluorinated foam concentrates when applied to hydrocarbon fuel fires.

AQUA 05 can be used as a replacement for AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) concentrates.

AQUA 05 is suitable for use with fresh water in extinguishing Class B fires (hydrocarbon fuels). It is not suitable for use on fires involving polar solvent fuels.

AQUA 05 is also effective for Class A fires due to its excellent wetting properties.

AQUA 05 can be used with low-, medium-, and high-expansion foam equipment (foam nozzles, monitors, foam chambers, etc.). However, due to its lack of film-forming capability, its performance with fog nozzles is not as effective as AFFF foam concentrates.

5	COMPATIBILITY WITH STORAGE MATERIALS	AQUA 05 is compatible with carbon steel tanks and standard materials such as galvanized steel (SUS 304 and SUS 316) or copper alloys. Additionally, recommended materials include aluminum and certain synthetic plastics (PE, PVC, PET). Avoid using AQUA 05 with equipment and accessories made of zinc or zinc-coated materials, as this may cause corrosion.
6	SHELF LIFE	The shelf life of AQUA 05 is 10–20 years, provided that storage conditions comply with the manufacturer’s guidelines. Foam concentrate samples should be sent to the manufacturer or a qualified laboratory for annual quality testing.
7	STORAGE AND HANDLING	Storage temperature: from -10°C to +50°C. If the product is frozen during storage or transportation, thawing will fully restore its usability. It is recommended to stir well after thawing before use.
8	ENVIRONMENTAL AND TOXICITY PROPERTIES	High corrosion resistance	Equipment shows high durability and is not affected by AQUA 05 product.
		Biodegradability	AQUA 05 is almost completely biodegradable: BOD₂₈ / COD ≈ 0.99.
		Wastewater treatment	Due to its excellent biodegradability, AQUA 05 requires little to no wastewater treatment system.
