DESCRIPTION

ALKALINITY CONTROL is a high-strength alkaline formulation used to regulate the pH and alkalinity of boiler water. By maintaining correct P-Alkalinity levels, it ensures that scale-forming minerals remain in a soft, non-adherent state that can be easily removed through blow-down. It is a critical component for preventing the pitting and general corrosion caused by acidic water conditions.

APPLICATIONS

Applied to all types of marine and industrial boilers. It creates the ideal chemical environment for phosphate-based hardness treatments to function correctly. Proper application helps avoid costly downtime caused by scale accumulation on heat transfer surfaces and ensures the structural integrity of the boiler system.

DIRECTION FOR USE – DOSAGE & CONTROL

Application: Dose via a by-pass pot feeder in the feed line or directly into the hotwell for LP boilers. Initial Dose: 250 ml per ton of untreated water. Maintenance: Adjust dose to reach P-Alkalinity targets: 100-150 PPM (boilers < 28 bar), 75-100 PPM (28-57 bar), or 0-50 PPM (HP boilers). Ref: 0.25 ml of product increases P-Alkalinity by approximately 70 PPM. Monitor using UNIMARINE BOILER WATER TEST SET.
