Installation / Fitting: The line must be stowed in its protective plastic container, securely mounted but easy to release quickly in an emergency. It should be attached firmly next to the lifebuoy.

Operation: Once the lifebuoy is released, the line is used to hold, pull, or allow the casualty to remain connected safely until recovery.

Maintenance & Periodic Inspection:

  • Inspect the rope, connections, and container at least monthly, especially after severe weather.
  • Replace the line if signs of wear, fraying, UV damage, or hardening are detected.
