DESCRIPTION

HARDNESS CONTROL is a specialized phosphate-based conditioner designed to eliminate scale-forming minerals. By maintaining an optimum phosphate level in the boiler water, it ensures that calcium and magnesium salts cannot crystallize on metal surfaces. Instead, they form a fluid precipitate that is easily managed through standard maintenance procedures.

APPLICATIONS

Used as a primary water conditioner in all types of boiler plants. It is essential for preventing the accumulation of hard scale, which can lead to reduced heat transfer efficiency and potential tube failure. For maximum effectiveness, it should be used alongside alkalinity treatments to ensure the sludge remains mobile and non-sticky.

DIRECTION FOR USE – DOSAGE & CONTROL

Application: Dissolve in warm water (solubility: 100g/L) before dosing. Use a by-pass pot feeder in the feed line or dose into the hotwell. Initial Dose: 100g per ton of untreated water. Control Limits: Maintain Phosphate at 10-20 PPM (HP boilers) or 20-40 PPM (LP boilers). Hardness must always be kept at Zero. Monitor regularly with the UNIMARINE BOILER WATER TEST SET.
