DESCRIPTION
OBWT-4 is an advanced, environmentally superior treatment that combines organic oxygen scavengers with volatile neutralizing amines. Unlike traditional scavengers, it not only removes oxygen from the feed-water but also forms a protective organic compound on boiler steel surfaces. Its filming properties are especially effective during shutdown periods, protecting lines where moisture and oxygen are present.
APPLICATIONS
Used for comprehensive control of corrosion throughout feed-water, steam lines, and condensate systems. It is highly recommended for systems where hotwell temperatures are erratic. By stabilizing the condensate pH, it prevents the corrosive effects of carbonic acid and oxygen entrainment, ensuring long-term system integrity.
DIRECTION FOR USE – DOSAGE GUIDE
Initial Dose: 0.2 lt/m³ of boiler water (increase to 0.7 lt/m³ for first few days if corrosion is present). Daily Dose: Start at 0.4 lt/day and adjust to maintain condensate pH between 9.0 – 10.5. Method: Must be dosed continuously via a metering pump. Never slug dose via the hotwell. Maintain hotwell temperatures above 75°C for optimal results.
