DESCRIPTION

OXYGEN CONTROL is a catalyzed sodium bisulfite treatment designed to eliminate dissolved oxygen in boiler systems. The built-in catalyst ensures rapid reaction times, which is critical for preventing oxygen-pitting corrosion. It is particularly vital for quick-vaporization boilers where oxygen becomes highly active in the presence of carbonic acid.

APPLICATIONS

Used in low and high-pressure boiler systems. It should be applied at the deaerator outlet or feed pump suction for optimal system protection. For condensate system protection, this product should be used in conjunction with CONDENSATE CONTROL, though they must be applied through separate dosing points.

DIRECTION FOR USE – PRODUCT DOSE

Normal Operation: Dose at 83 ml/ton (liquid) or 45 g/ton (powder) to maintain 20–30 mg/l of sodium bisulfite. Idle Boilers: Maintain a reserve of 100–200 PPM to protect the serpentine from corrosion. Note: Being mildly acidic, OXYGEN CONTROL must NOT be mixed with alkaline treatments in the dosing tank as it will cause catalyst precipitation.
